Firstly, I haven’t seen a lot of publicity concerning the Republican Party canvass (also referred to as a firehouse primary or the Republican primary) set to elect the official Republican candidate for Gloucester County Clerk of Circuit Court. This canvass or primary will allow Republicans to cast a vote to select the party’s candidate to run in the fall for this position.

For us Republicans, this balloting will occur on Monday, June 7 at the Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church on the Gloucester courthouse circle between the hours of noon and 6 p.m. I strongly encourage your participation.Secondly, I would like to endorse as the Republican nominee for this office Cathy Dale, the current Gloucester Circuit Court Clerk. I’m not sure my endorsement will carry any weight that will help determine the outcome of this balloting.
