Letter: Crowley for the House

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

As a resident of Gloucester County, I’m very concerned by our Board of Supervisors’ consideration of rolling back Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act rulings that have been in place for the last 25 years.

It is astounding that people who supposedly represent the best interests of our county would seek to undo the protections that have preserved and improved the quality of the waterways that are so important to the economics and aesthetics of this county.

Our 98th District representative, Keith Hodges, is no better. He doesn’t even mention the Chesapeake Bay or other environmental concerns anywhere on his campaign website. It contains a list of the same old meaningless platitudes thrown at us by people who find it easier to disrupt our system of government rather than tackle the more difficult job of improving it.
