Letter: Compassion for those in need

The fifth anniversary of the opening of the Bread for Life Food Pantry in Gloucester County was commemorated on March 19 at the food pantry located on the grounds of St. Therese Catholic Church. The dedication of the opening of the new addition to the food pantry was also celebrated.

We have been volunteers at the food pantry since its inception and we have been amazed how much the need in our community has increased. We are just a small part of the food pantry community but we want to take this opportunity to thank all the many, many people who have donated their time and talents to making the food pantry the success it is. But, most importantly, we must not forget all the wonderful people who donate from all over the county, for without these donations we could not take care of the families in need.

There are many names we could mention, but today I want to make note of two special people, Jim Stephens of B&S Refuse and Lee Stokesberry of Stokesberry C...
