Yoo Hoo!!! Parents of special needs children in Mathews County … Where are you? Did you know that there is an organization that is devoted to your children?

It is the Mathews County Special Education Advisory Committee. I am the chair, and I am the grandparent of two special needs children. Believe me when I say that your children’s interests are paramount with this committee.

But we need you to help. We need your input. We need to know what is going right with your children in school. We need to know what—if anything—you feel that your children could benefit from and are not receiving.

Now, I cannot guarantee that we can help in every situation. The committee is not omnipotent. But this committee will give you a voice that you can use to the betterment of your children and the other special needs children in Mathews County Public Schools.
