I write in response to Mr. Gregory Haugan’s letter titled “Bad news from the scientists” in the Dec. 12 edition of the Gazette-Journal. Obviously Mr. Haugan is an intelligent person or he would not have earned a Ph.D.
That is why it is surprising that he agrees with the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s position that man-made carbon dioxide (CO2) is causing global warming.
There has been no atmospheric warming in over 16 years, while carbon dioxide levels have steadily increased. As a result the IPCC has now redefined global warming as climate change. Be not deceived, the U.N.’s purported climate change is nothing more than a tool that drives their radical environmental policies.
