I would like to publicly endorse Fred Brewer’s candidacy for the at-large Gloucester County School Board’s vacant position. I have personally and professionally known Fred for over 20 years while coaching student athletes and teaching in the City of Hampton. I found him to be a solid leader, one who is wholeheartedly dedicated to sound educational principles, and to the students, parents and staff of Hampton City Schools.

As a retired Air Force officer and high school math teacher, I observed firsthand many terrific leaders. Fred Brewer was one of the strongest that I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. Simply put—he makes good sense. He has strong financial awareness and also the ability to make logical and sound decisions. As chairman of Hampton’s School Board, he often had to make difficult choices ranging from the completion of new schools to the delicate decisions involving personnel and student discipline.
