Lawrence Neil Maddox, 62, of Gloucester, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018, in Riverside Walter Reed Hospital. 

He was born in Newport News, and was the son of the late Jackie H. Maddox and Nancy Rowe Maddox. He was retired from York County School Division as a service maintenance plumber. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and a collector of guns, and loved classic cars. He was the proud owner of a 1969 Barracuda fastback.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Maddox; his brother, John A. Maddox (Patricia), Megan and Mallory, and sister, Patricia E. Vick and Kirby and Chloe. 

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
