Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia, recipient of a $10,000 grant, brings wish kids renewed hope amidst the uncertainty and fear of receiving a critical diagnosis. Research shows that children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness.
“We are beyond grateful for Langley Federal Credit Union’s unwavering support and commitment to granting wishes that bring lasting hope to children and families in the communities they serve,” said Kiley Elward, regional development officer for Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia.
Make-A-Wish has always been committed to ensuring that no child waits even one unnecessary day to experience the hope and joy that a wish brings, and they have remained steadfast in their mission through the challenges of COVID-19. This grant will fund two pending wish requests in Newport News.
