Lancaster County history series begins today

The Lancaster Virginia Historical Society’s second virtual “Zooming In On Local History” speaker series begins today.
The programs will be presented live via Zoom every three weeks on Thursdays at 3 p.m., and will also be available later as recordings. Each program will be about an hour long and will include visual slides and the opportunity for interactive questions with the speaker.
“Our first series of virtual talks that ran from last November to this February 2021 was so successful and well-received that we are thrilled to keep the format going with additional programs for a second series,” LVHS executive director Karen Hart said.
“The online format has been an excellent way for us to continue our educational mission of sharing local history and to showcase the amazing knowledge and research work of our own historical society members and academic partners.
