The Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League Knights suffered a couple tough losses over the weekend, with the 14U Lady Knights posting a win.
The 8U Knights lost a close one to the Community Broncos, 8-0. Michael Blasing led the defense with five tackles followed by John Odom with four tackles and Ajax Davidson, Carson Robbins all with three tackles each. Among the cheerleaders, Abby Thompson received best technique and Shonna Banks was named most spirited.
The Gloucester Knights 10U faced off against Community Broncos 10U at home Saturday. The Knights’ defense played well but it was not enough to hold the Broncos back, as Gloucester fell, 20-6. Safety Dreyden Pluim made an interception and running it back for a touchdown.
