The Gloucester High School varsity girls’ basketball team lost to Heritage, 50-47, at home last Friday, Jan. 24. The girls were neck and neck for most of the game, both teams tying at halftime, 20-20. Heritage pulled ahead in the third quarter and Gloucester could not catch up in the fourth. Top scorers for the Lady Dukes include Lauren Hall with 19 points and Kenna Keyes with 13 points. Other scorers for Gloucester include Zebe Rhodes with six points, Cici Roye with five points and Maria Lisi with four.

The Lady Dukes lost to Menchville, 72-43, at Tuesday night’s away game. They will play at home Friday night against Kecoughtan and again at home on Tuesday, Feb. 4, against Phoebus....
