The Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League Knights suffered a few tough losses over the weekend.
The 8U Knights fell, 20-0, to the Bennetts Creek Warriors. Michael Blasing led the offense for the Knights with five carries for 51 yards. Ajax Davidson and Blasing led the defense with five tackles each, followed by Kendall Cook with four tackles.
The 10U Knights suffered a close loss of 26-20 to the Windsor Wildcats. Dreyden Pluim, Jacob Bloom and Chase Robbins each scored. Sloan Locklin, Bryce Letennier, Kaleb McArthur, Logan Wood, Chris Coates and Dallas Blasing all made several defensive stops. Bloom was awarded most valuable player honors for the game.
The 12U Knights fell to the Peninsula Panthers, 28-0. Xavier Broughman and Leo Collier each had an eight-yard carry and Jay Stokes had a six-yard carry. In tackles, Broughman recorded nine, followed by Evan Horcek with four, Stokes with three and Kaiden Jeffries and Leo Collier with two each.
