Knights fall to Hurricanes

The Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League Knights suffered two tough losses to the Tri Citi Hurricanes over the weekend.
The 8U Knights fell to the Hurricanes, 6-0. John Odom led Gloucester’s defense with six tackles, followed by Michael Blasing and Carson Robbins with five tackles each. For cheer, Adalynn Charest was named most spirited and Mena Glass had the best technique.
The 12U Knights also fell short, suffering a 20-0 loss to the Hurricanes.
Lady Knights
The 14U Lady Knights flag football team fell to the Peninsula Panthers, 32-31. Lillie Green was named the offensive and defensive most valuable player for her multiple touchdowns and flag pulls.
Madyson Bishop and Jemma Washington worked together as Gloucester’s running backs and quarterbacks for the game.
Also scoring was Washington who gained many yards for the Lady Knights. Delaney Robbins also gained many yards.
