The Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League Knights played the East End Vikings over the weekend.
The 10U Knights beat the Vikings, 13-12. The Vikings scored on their first drive, but missed the extra point. Dreyden Pluim executed a 46-yard run for a Knights touchdown. Jacob Bloom scored the extra point to give Gloucester the lead. The Vikings scored again in the second quarter, but missed the extra point. In the second half, Bloom ran for 54 yards and scored a touchdown.
On defense, Kaleb McArthur recorded three solo sacks and Chase Robbins, Sloan Locklin, Trace Rasmussen, Logan Wood, Bloom and Pluim all had multiple tackles. Pluim also recorded two interceptions.
The 8U Knights fell to the Vikings, 41-0. Michael Blasing led the defense with six tackles, followed by Carson Robbins with five and John Odom with four.
