Knights face off against Bulls

The Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League played the Back River Bulls in several tough matches over the weekend.

The Gloucester Red Knights 12U team was defeated by the Bulls, 40-0. Matthew Pryor had six tackles and rushed for 25 yards; Evan McNulty had 10 tackles and rushed for 60 yards; Julian Mikkleson had five tackles; Noah Potter and Ethan Stotts had four tackles each; Anthony Starks had four tackles and one pass deflect; and Aiden Lewis had three tackles.

The Gloucester Red Knight Mites fell to the Bulls, 24-7. Gloucester’s offense was led by Zayden Pluim who had 60 yards and one touchdown. The defense was led by Jayceon Stokes, Robert Hayes Jr., Luke Futch and Colton Ernsting.

The Gloucester Red Knights Minis flag football team also lost to the Bulls, 28-0. Bryce Newkirk led the team in defense with three tackles. Gabriel Franklin, Easton Rasmussen, Landan Lopez and Jamere Wilson-Thomas also recorded multiple tackles.
