Knights beat Warriors, York Seaford

The 10U Knights of the Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League took a 7-0 victory over the Bennett Creek Warriors Saturday. The Lady Knights flag football team also took a win over York Seaford, 50-8, on Saturday.
Those on offense for the 10U team were Jacob Bloom, Kaleb McArthur, Sloan Locklin, Trace Rasmussen, Logan Wood, Chris Coates, Dreyden Pluim and Chase Robbins. The Knights held possession of the ball for over half of the game, but only managed to get in the end zone once when Pluim broke loose on a long run after a pitch from Rasmussen. Bloom scored the extra point for the Knights.
Since this was the league’s homecoming day, several players received Most Valuable Player trophies. MVP selections included Bloom for offensive player, Pluim for defensive player, Coates for offensive lineman, and McArthur for defensive lineman.
Those named most spirited were Madison Burton and Genesis Pluim. Harper Arntz had the best technique.
