King & Queen to hold National Night Out

The King and Queen Sheriff’s Office is holding its annual National Night Out event on Thursday, Aug. 7 from 6-8 o’clock at the King and Queen Courthouse.
This event will feature members of the sheriff’s office, local first responders, LifeEvac, community resources, demonstrations and more in an effort to bring the community together to promote camaraderie and positive relationships.
The sheriff’s office is seeking contributions for the event in the form of monetary donations, gift cards, prize items and food from local restaurants.
Local companies and organizations are welcome to participate in National Night Out by hosting kid-friendly games and activities. Each participating group will be given a dedicated space.
National Night Out is free and open for the public to attend. To learn more or ask questions about the event, email mmwilson@kqso.net. In case of rain, the event will be moved to Aug. 12.
