Kenneth Ray Smith, 52, of Gloucester, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015.

He was born in Toledo, Ohio, and was a member of IBEW Local #1340 and had served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Henry Smith, and father-in-law, Buddy Ewell.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Bette Carol Smith; children, Amanda Spicer of Fulton, N.Y., Nicole Smith of Oswego, N.Y., Kenneth Smith II, Fallon Smith and Jonathan Harwood; his mother, Shirley S. Wright of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren, and a host of other family members.

The family received friends at Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday from 5:30-7 p.m. with funeral services starting at 7 o’clock by the Rev. Kevin Smith. 

Memorial donations may be made to Woodforest Bank in Bette C. Smith’s name.
