Ken and Nan Evans hand Allstate agency over to Stephens

Allstate agency owners Ken and Nan Evans have retired after 30 years of business in Gloucester County. The husband-and-wife duo opened their office in 1993 and has since provided their customers with expert care and service. Taking over the reins for them is Blake Stephens and his new staff.

Stephens said he’s worked as an agent for Allstate for five years, having previously served with another agency. He said he was ready to operate his own agency and started to do research on the subject. He said it was serendipity that he came across the soon-to-be retirees Ken and Nan in June.

Ken and Nan opened their agency at a location in the York River Crossing Shopping Center before moving to its current office space 18 years ago. The last three decades has been a great experience for the couple, a labor of love as they enjoyed helping people in the community, Nan said.
