Christine Johnson, founder of the Mathews Outdoor Club, has been named to the Mathews Land Conservancy Board of Directors.
“Christine brings a wealth of leadership experience, community involvement, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors,” said MLC president Bernadette La Casse. Since relocating to Mathews County in 2013, Johnson has been a dedicated civic leader. She has served on several local boards, including the Mathews Family YMCA and Mathews County Visitor and Information Center board and is an active member of the Cricket Hill chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the county’s Parks and Recreation Committee.
In 2014, Johnson founded the Mathews Outdoor Club to promote sports tourism and encourage active lifestyles in the community.
