Job fair to be held June 22 at GHS

The third annual Middle Peninsula Job Fair and Expo will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 22, at Gloucester High School. The job fair will provide those job-seekers that are newly entering the workforce and those that are looking for career opportunity/growth to speak directly with area employers who are currently hiring, a release stated.

The event is a community-wide initiative throughout the Middle Peninsula and targets job-seekers of all ages. It includes unemployed, under-employed, active reserve military, students entering the workforce or individuals considering a change in employment, according to Gloria Williams, executive director of the Gloucester Chamber of Commerce, which is helping to sponsor the event.

She said the job fair will also provide educational, workforce development and nonprofit organizations with volunteer opportunities and resources available.
