Catherine Coggeshall has been named executive director of Jacob’s Ladder, Inc., assuming the leadership position on Nov. 22. “I want everyone to know that our leadership team believes strongly in our incoming executive director Catherine Coggeshall. We are excited about the experience, talents, and enthusiasm she will bring to our organization,” said Charlie Vaughters, chairman of the board and head of the executive director search process. Based in Urbanna, Jacob’s Ladder was founded in 1991 by Aubrey and Margie Hall as a program to help intellectually gifted children who face obstacles to success. These middle school age young people—the Climbers—are selected to the program because they all have an extraordinary ability to excel academically, but due to economic or social situations are at risk of not realizing their full potential, a release stated.
