Beginning Sunday, admission to the Irvington Crab Festival will increase to $60. Tickets for children 12 and under remain at $15 and children under five are free. Until Sunday, adult tickets are $50.
Admissions may be purchased online at steamboateramuseum.org, at the museum Thursday-Monday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sundays 1-4 p.m. or by calling 804-438-6888 during museum hours. This event sells out every year and tickets are not sold at the door.
Attendees will enjoy eating steamed crabs under a big top on the Irvington Commons on Saturday, Sept. 18. The doors will open at 5 p.m. Barbecue, hot dogs, soft drinks and water are included in the admission price. Wine and beer will be available for purchase. Raffle tickets will be sold during the event.
The Crab Festival is the largest fundraising event for the Steamboat Era Museum.
