Gloucester supervisors, business owners and other community leaders met at the new American Legion building last Wednesday to take part in business forum to consider ways to ensure that Gloucester County continues to grow and prosper. Members of Gloucester County’s Community Engagement and Public Information Office, as well as the Gloucester Chamber of Commerce, also participated in the forum, in which people split off into small work groups to brainstorm on the matter. Abingdon district representative Robert “JJ” Orth opened the morning’s proceedings, welcoming everyone and organizing the informal forum. Each table was tasked with coming up with some ideas that can benefit business, and encourage more business owners to set up shop in Gloucester. Each table was asked to think of at least two suggestions within the allotted time.
