Home opener

The Gloucester High School varsity football team held its season home opener against New Kent last Thursday night where it fell to the Trojans, 13-7. After Gloucester’s starting quarterback went down, Brad Bellinger took over and recorded seven carries for 45 yards and scored the Dukes’ only touchdown. On defense, William Pica recorded nine tackles. Shown, above, is Steven Byrd racing across the field with the ball. Below, Omari Lockley narrowly evades his opponents.
