The Rev. Dr. Phyllis Blair Milton, Bishop of the Virginia Synod, attended the Holy Trinity Sunday service at Gloucester’s Apostles Lutheran Church on May 26. Dr. Milton preached the sermon and assisted pastor Jay Serafin with Holy Communion. Milton was elected Bishop of the Virginia Synod at the Virginia Synod Assembly last June and began a six-year term as Bishop on Sept. 1, 2023.
