Hogan commits to Regent U. softball program

Gloucester High School senior Lilly Hogan has committed to playing softball at Regent University in Virginia Beach after graduation.
Gloucester High School senior Lilly Hogan has committed to playing softball at Regent University in Virginia Beach.
Hogan, an outfielder and first baseman, helped her team reach the state semifinals last season. She earned all-district and all-region honors, hitting a .387 and driving in 23 RBIs.
The Regent Royals will play its first season ever next spring in the Coast To Coast Athletic Conference. The team will be coached by Bri Cooper.
“I feel Regent is a good fit for me academically and I am looking forward to being part of a start up program,” said Hogan.
“Coach [Jason] Burns and I are so happy to see Lilly’s hard work pay off and to get this opportunity to play in college,” said GHS head softball coach David “Red” Lindsay....
