Hodges named to Appropriations Committee

Del. Keith Hodges (R-Urbanna) has been appointed to serve on the Appropriations Committee for the 2022 Virginia General Assembly session by Speaker of the House of Delegates Todd Gilbert.

The Appropriations Committee, which has jurisdiction over state budget matters, is a new appointment for Hodges. He was also appointed to serve as chair of the Counties, Cities and Towns Committee and as a subcommittee chair on the Health, Welfare and Institutions Committee. In addition, he will continue to serve on the Communications, Technology and Innovation Committee.

“I am honored that Speaker Gilbert has the confidence in me to serve on these critical committees,” said Hodges in a press release, “and will work hard each day to advance policies that create opportunities for the commonwealth.

First elected in 2011, Hodges is delegate for the 98th District, which consists of Gloucester, Mathews, Middlesex, King and Queen, and Essex counties and part of King William County.
