Hole in the Wall at Perrindise, a Caribbean-themed restaurant, opened last week at the Perrindise Marina and Club on Cooks Landing Road in Hayes. Overlooking the Perrin River near the mouth of the York River, the restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating, with a swimming pool surrounded by a pergola-covered dining patio and an upper rear deck with two pergolas for cigar smoking. It has a 24-slip dock dedicated to boaters stopping by for the food. The interior décor is bright and airy, with tall ceilings, window-lined walls, and wooden accents. The kitchen is open to the dining room, and the bar is adjacent to the pool patio, with a wide roll-up window for easy summer access. Signature menu entrees include such choices as Ropa Vieja—Cuba’s national dish of shredded flank steak in a tomato, onion, and bell pepper sauce; Jammin Mahi Mahi—grilled or blackened Mahi with pineapple-bacon jam; and Chimichurri Skirt Steak, marinated with herb sauce.
