Herschel C. “Lefty” Frizzell, of Gloucester Point, a 26-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, died at his home Dec. 17, 2018.

His family said it best: “Granddad enjoyed fishing, a good round of golf, he was a NASCAR fan but most of all he loved his family.”

Herschel is survived by a son, Alan Frizzell (Peggy), and two daughters, Sheri Speight (Ray) and Melissa Babbs (Bruce).  He had six grandchildren, Josh Speight (Sydney), Tayler Tillage (Coleman), Bruce Babbs Jr. (Gail), Natalie Chapman, Nick Johansen (Michelle), and Ryan Johansen (Jen); five great-grandchildren, Michael Chapman, Lacey Chapman, Aaliyah Chapman, Brinlynn Babbs, and Cole Johansen.

As per his wishes, services will be private.
