Herbert Wade Britt, age 72, of Gloucester, died at his home on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021. Mr. Britt was a native of Maryland, graduated from the College of William & Mary with a Psychology degree, and graduated from Thomas Nelson Community College with an Engineering degree. Mr. Britt was a veteran of the U.S. Army, receiving numerous awards, including the Silver Heart and Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife, Judy A. Britt; children, Heather Dawn Britt, Roger Dale Cox Jr., Gary Christopher Cox; grandchildren, Anna Nicole Cox, Roger Dale Cox III, Robert Leslie Cox, Taylor Alexis Guill, Maci Jade Hollingsworth; siblings, Terry Stonestifler, Kyle Britt and Todd Godfrey. Services will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
