Hearings in the case of The Hole in the Wall Waterfront Grill v. The Mathews County Board of Supervisors and Mathews County Administrator Ramona Wilson have been postponed for several months.
Both parties in the suit petitioned the court to continue the Sept. 3 hearing to Nov. 21 at 1:30 p.m., when the court will have a two-hour hearing on two items, one for each side: a demurrer and motion to dismiss filed by the board of supervisors and a motion to disqualify filed by Hole in the Wall. The hearing is scheduled to be heard in Gloucester County Circuit Court.
The two sides also agreed to have a hearing at 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 23, 2026 to hear two more motions, one for each party: a motion to compel that was filed by Hole in a Wall and the Motion for Payment of Pump and Haul filed by the board of supervisors.
