Last Thursday, Dr. Jeff Hayman was named Rappahannock Community College’s Chief Information Officer, overseeing the school’s IT team.

Hayman holds a Doctor of Science degree in Cyber Security from Capitol Technology University, a master’s degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and a B.A. in Sociology from Western Maryland College.

Hayman is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and former U.S. Army Master Aviator. While in the Army, he served in a variety of roles including Commander of Gray Army Airfield, Fort Lewis, Washington; and Chief of the Network for the Joint Forces Staff College in Norfolk. After retirement, he taught cybersecurity curriculum both in the U.S. and Germany, looked for missing army aircraft in Vietnam and served as a military advisor to both Paramount and New Dominion Pictures.
