A funeral for Harold V. Berry Sr., 81, of Gloucester will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019, in Bethel Baptist Church, Gloucester. 

He graduated from Thomas C. Walker School in 1958, was a member of Smithfield Baptist Church, and was an adopted member of Bethel Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond and Mattie Berry; a son, Thomas; nine siblings, and a grandson.

Survivors include his wife, Nettie of Gloucester; daughters, Lena and Beverly; sons, Harold Jr. and Antonio of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Fred of Pennsylvania and Nathaniel of Gloucester; 10 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

A wake will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, March 15 in Howard Funeral Home, Ark. He will lie in repose at the church from noon-1 o’clock Saturday. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
