Happiness abounds with many recent weddings

Judging by the number of marriages recently consummated in our county it would seem that the ladies made good use of Leap Year and succeeded as getting a good many poor fellows in trouble. We wish for all of the newlywed couples a long, happy, and prosperous life.

A letter recently received from Mr. Moreland Carter, formerly of Hicks Wharf, states that he is at present a Lieutenant in the English Army and was at the time the letter was written about to embark for Northern Siberia in the British Northern Russia Expeditionary forces. He sent regards to a number of friends here.
