Halloween will soon be here, and there’s plenty of fun (and candy) to be had for young boys and girls in the coming days. Two of the area’s biggest events will take place on Saturday in Mathews and on Halloween night (Monday) in Gloucester.
Gloucester Main Street will be closed from the Court Circle to Edgehill Town Center from 5-7:45 p.m. Monday for the annual Halloween event, Trick or Treat Main Street.
Many businesses on Main Street will remain open late to give treats to costumed characters, in this annual event hosted by the Gloucester Main Street Association and Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office.
While the street will be closed to ordinary cars and trucks, emergency vehicles will be allowed through access, a release said.
Jennifer Dutton Haggerty, Executive Director of Gloucester Main Street Association, expressed thanks to Sheriff Darrell Warren and the men and women of GCSO that come out in full force to ensure the safety of all attending.
