Hair Vault opens on Gloucester’s Main Street

The Hair Vault opened for business last week on Gloucester’s Main Street. Owner Becky Bailey said that she was working as an independent contractor at a business there which closed. Bailey leased the space and stocked it with new styling stations and equipment.

The building where the Hair Vault is located has housed several beauty shops and once was a bank.

Bailey works full-time as a stylist helping men, women and children. Her specialties include color, highlights and barber cuts for the military and law enforcement officers.  

Bailey has 14 years’ hair care experience. Prior to working at the Main Street shop, Bailey worked at SmartStyle Family Hair Salon in the Gloucester Walmart. Before that, she worked at a shop in Yorktown and two shops in Richmond. Bailey’s husband, Thomas, is an engineer at Siemens in Newport News. They reside in Gloucester with their two daughters: Alexus, 13, a ninth grader at Gloucester High School, and Sabrina, 2.
