“A Practical Guide to Changing Our World Through Personal Transformation,” by Gary Brown is set to release Sunday. This is a condensed version of the Gwynn’s Island man’s first book, “A World of His Own.” According to the author, the book “explores the nature and impact of public education, and the results of prioritizing human reasoning over godly wisdom of the heart.” Purpose, progress, time and relationships are also discussed. Through his life, Brown has undergone his own personal transformation. He was employed as an airline pilot for many years before he decided to make a change. “I started feeling like it was an empty kind of life,” he said. Through therapy, Brown discovered his personality better matched that of a teacher, preacher, psychologist or social worker than an airline pilot.
