A program “Grow Your Own Medicine” will be presented from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at CA&J Farm, 5620 East River Road, Foster. It is sponsored by Virginia Cooperative Extension at Virginia State University.
A release from VSU said, “This workshop will discuss all about herbal wellness and how to create your own personalized medicinal herb gardens. This class will also discuss how to cultivate these herbs, and the best time of the year to harvest the herbs.”

Other upcoming classes include a nutrient management workshop, 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, at VSU Randolph Farm, 4415 River Road, Petersburg; and, a tour of agriculture, floriculture and greenhouse systems at the Randolph Farm at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, to “introduce students to agriculture, floriculture, greenhouse systems, and career pathways within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.”
