A funeral service for Gregory “Cowboy” Seth Novak, 45, of Portsmouth, was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14 in Altmeyer Funeral Home, Chesapeake. He died Dec. 7, 2014.

He worked as a shipfitter for Amee Bay, LLC, and as a concrete finisher for S&L Concrete, LLC.

He was predeceased by a brother.

Survivors include his father, Stephen B. Novak Jr., and stepmother Karen of Gloucester; his mother, Gladys Brake Novak of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one brother, and four sisters.
