The Deltaville Great Decisions group will take a look at the crisis in the Middle East and American policy in the region when it meets next week.
Dr. Crystal Shelton of Christopher Newport University will present a talk on “After Gaza: American policy in the Middle East” on Friday, Feb. 28 at the Deltaville Community Association building, 17147 General Puller Highway, Deltaville.
The war in Gaza has brought the region to a crossroads. Next week’s program will examine the possible outcomes of the war, and how might the United States use its influence to shape a long-term settlement that leaves both Israel and the Palestinians in a better position. Shelton will also discuss how Arab states in the wider region be brought into such a settlement. Great Decisions is America’s largest discussion program on world affairs.
