Goodman’s Antiques & Estate Jewelry at Gloucester Point will present “Christmas Traditions from Thalhimers and Miller & Rhoads” from noon-3 p.m. Saturday. Donna Strother Deekens, author and an original Miller & Rhoads Snow Queen, will be a special guest, signing her books as Goodman’s recreates beloved Christmas traditions from the former great department stores of downtown Richmond. Deekens sat beside the legendary “Real Santa” who met generations of children at Miller & Rhoads. She has written several books of the experience and will have all of them available for purchase and signing. Goodman’s, which is renewing this Christmas attraction from last year, said other novelty merchandise representing the two stores will be available to purchase.
