Goodman’s Interiors opened for business Nov. 15 on Main Street in Mathews, adjacent to the Bakery in the Village.

Alan Goodman, who owns the business with his wife Lisa, said that the new store specializes in coastal décor. The showroom is filled with pre-owned, carefully selected items, including furniture, home décor and accessories, Goodman said.

Artwork fills the walls and steps away are groupings of furniture and accent pieces. Also, there’s a large selection of decorative bowls, glassware, and similar items.

The store sells some antiques, including maps, fishing rods and other older pieces.

Goodman said he not only sells the varied selection but also buys many items by appointment at the new location. Soon Goodman said the shop will buy and sell gold and silver, along with jewelry. Sales associate Ronda Bowden of Gloucester is the regular employee normally at the shop, Goodman said, and he or another employee is usually in the store as well. The Math...
