The Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic held its 15th annual Golf Classic on Aug. 8 at Kingsmill Resort, Williamsburg. A crowd of 120 golfers participated in the event. Tournament winners this year were the Vulcan Materials team in first place for the first flight players Tyler Johnson, Mike Zahm, Paul Eason, and Chris Mihalick from Vulcan Materials, above from left, and second flight top finishers Bill Reilly Sr., Bill Reilly Jr., Dylan Haywood and Mickey Sampson. Additional prizes were awarded for the longest drive (Kevin Horsley) and closest to the pin (a tie between Brady Smith and Mike Nunes). This year, over $50,000 was raised for patient care at the nonprofit clinic, which provides primary health care, dental care, pharmacy and support services to uninsured and Medicaid patients in Gloucester and Mathews.
