Gloucester’s Arts on Main marks 10th anniversary

Arts on Main will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a month-long retrospective exhibition featuring artwork created by the many artists whose work has been displayed at the Gloucester Main Street gallery over the past 10 years. It opens with a reception on Friday.

Continuing its theme of metamorphosis, and to illustrate how far the gallery and its artists have come since the organization’s founding by Kay Van Dyke in 2011, the artists have been invited to display recently created works alongside their early works to show the progression of their artistic skills or vision.

The reception will be held in two 45-minute sessions that are subject to Arts on Main’s COVID-19 precautions, from 5 to 5:45 p.m. and 6 to 6:45 p.m. Each session is limited to 25 people, and face coverings are required.

Beverages will be available for purchase, and complimentary snacks will be provided.

The event, sponsored by Lynne Manning, is free to the public with a reservation.
