The Gloucester High School boys’ and girls’ cross country teams competed in their first meet in the Bay Rivers District last Wednesday, Sept. 3.
In the girls’ developmental 3200-meter race, Ali Morelli finished first for Gloucester and 10th overall with a time of 15:49. Next for the girls was Melanie Mueller with a time of 15:50, followed by Marta Alonso (15:57), Lacey Donnelly (16:09), Clara Neumann (17:44), Aubrey Lord (18:16), Evelyn Wright (19:22), Michelle Field (19:46) and Noelle Watson (20:42).
Rachel Blittle finished the girls 5K race with a time of 23:39, followed by Peyton Price (25:25), Sarah Bullins (25:31), Hailee Jorgenson (28:25), Kandalyn Baxley (28:29), Braxten Abelar (28:32), Chelsea Shield (30:01) and Camille Reyes (31:11).
In the boys’ developmental 3200-meter race, Hugh Davis finished with a time of 12:24, followed by Cesar Gomez (13:33) and Canaan Chrisman (16:07).
