Gloucester wrestlers beat Crabbers, go 3-2 in tourney

The Gloucester High School wrestling team took on Hampton High School last Wednesday in Hampton, beating the Crabbers, 54-24.

Duke wrestlers Aiden Sheesley (106 lbs.), Noelle Anderson (113 lbs.), Fisher Plessinger (138 lbs.) and Joey Foley (215 lbs.) each won by forfeit.

Lucas Palma (120 lbs.), Ty Baker (126 lbs.), Micah Bodiford (132 lbs.) and Karl Dean (144 lbs.) won by pin.

Hayden Fox (157 lbs.) won an 18-13 decision while, in the heavyweight class, J.R. Jones won his bout, 8-4.

Anna Plessinger (150 lbs.), Gage Herrington (165 lbs.), Hayden Wagner (175 lbs.) and Skylar Stevenson (190 lbs.) each lost by pin.

In exhibition matches, Nate Bodiford (132 lbs.) lost by a pin, while Jesus Crowder (150 lbs.) won his bout by a pin.

Tournament
