Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism has a number of activities planned in the coming weeks, starting with an extended registration deadline for The Full Hike:
THE FULL HIKE: The deadline to register for The Full Hike, a 9.5-mile hike from one end of Beaverdam Park to the other, has been extended. The hike will be held beginning 8 a.m. Saturday and the new deadline to register is today, Thursday, July 17. The fee is $5. Participants are encouraged to bring snacks and water, wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.
GYMNASTICS CAMP: Registration ends soon for the second of two sets of gymnastics camps under the direction of Caitlyn Coltrain. The camps will be held the week of July 28-31 at Botetourt Elementary. Ages 8-18 will meet from 9-11:30 a.m., the fee is $60. Ages 5-7 will meet from 12:30-2:30 p.m., the fee is $55. Ages 3-4 will meet from 3-4:30 p.m., the fee is $45. The deadline to register is July 21.
