The Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League Knights faced the Denbigh Jaguars in several matches over the weekend. The 12U Knights defeated the Jaguars, 26-6. Rylee Hogge led the offense for the Knights by scoring three touchdowns and an extra point. He also recorded two passes for 53 yards. Anthony Hodges rushed for 85 yards and scored a touchdown, while Isaac White also scored a touchdown. Bella Madigan was named the most spirited cheerleader, while Kehlani Cook had the best technique. The 10U Knights achieved a shutout win of 12-0 over the Jaguars. The match opened with a two-yard tackle for loss by Penelope Bishop, followed by a stop and a forced fumble by Kaleb McArthur, which was recovered by Chase Robbins. Dallas Blasing also forced a fumble, which was recovered by Nicholas Pecina. Michael Smith scored two touchdowns on the day. Pecina recorded an interception with a three-yard return.
