The Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League Knights suffered tough losses to the Tidewater Dawgs over the weekend.
The 8U Knights fell to the Dawgs, 21-0. Notable players on offense for the Knights were Easton Rasmussen and Michael Blasing. John Odom, Hollis Setty, Owen Setty and Carson Robbins led the defense. Abby Thompson and Charleigh Showengerdt were named the most spirited cheerleaders for the game.
Because of injuries sus-tained by Gloucester, the 10U Knights had its game cut short when the Knights were trailing, 13-0. On offense, Trace Rasmussen, Drey Pluim, Kaleb MacArthur and Chase Robbins demonstrated rushing abilities. Pluim achieved a kickoff return of 20 yards and secured an interception. Logan Wood played center throughout the game. Those recording tackles were Rasmussen, Robbins, Pluim, Jacob Bloom and Sloan Locklin.
